Reflections

I can honestly say, without a shadow of doubt, that the last two years has made me a more humble, appreciative, understanding and altruistic individual. There have been many situations that have arisen, that I could have been bitter about, or justified in holding a grudge, but where would that get any of us. I always want to challenge people to grow and become someone who was more positive than the person they were yesterday. I want people to learn about themselves, about other perspectives, and for them to listen to understand rather than for a rebuttal, a reply, or defensive standpoint. I’ve also learned that not everyone can handle the truth, no matter how much they ask for it, and to respect that and leave them to experience their own journey. You don’t understand how many times I’ve had to use the phrase “You can lead the horse to water, but you can’t make it drink” as an analogy for so many situations in this year alone. I want to thank the people who have helped me grow, and look forward to the many adventures life still has to offer. CHECKPOINT
